Saindent

About

Welcome to my professional profile. My journey in the field of dental hygiene began in 2008 when I embraced the dental hygienist profession. Over the twelve subsequent years, I practiced my profession within a large-scale clinic, where I was able to enrich and deepen my skills in the field of dentistry.

Starting from the year 2020, in response to the introduction of Law 29 aimed at modernizing the practices of dental hygienists in Quebec and establishing their independence from dentists, I chose to evolve as an autonomous dental hygienist. This new phase of my career led me to collaborate with various clinics and dental teams, each with its own philosophy regarding treatments and services. These experiences provided me with the opportunity to learn, analyze, accept, and understand patients' needs, thus contributing to defining my role both in patients' lives and in the broader context of our society.

My professional journey has also been marked by the genesis of an idea that took shape with the creation of the dental hygiene clinic 'SAINDENT.' To maintain up-to-date expertise in a constantly evolving sector, I actively participated in dental conferences and engaged in a series of continuing education courses, delivered notably by the University of Montreal as well as the OHDQ and FHDQ organizations.

As a committed member within the OHDQ, FHDQ, and ACHD, I stand ready to share my knowledge and contribute to assisting you in maintaining optimal oral health. My goal is to accompany you towards a fulfilling and well-assured life in terms of dental health.

Image for Preventive Filling - Dental Sealant

This type of filling is used to prevent cavities in pits and fissures by preventing bacteria from settling there. It is used for developing teeth or in cases of high risk of cavities. Dental sealants are often applied to avoid the accumulation of food debris and bacteria in these hard-to-clean areas, thus reducing the risk of cavities.

Image for Preventive Filling with Glass Ionomer

This type of filling has a remineralizing effect with fluoride release. Glass ionomer is a material that gradually releases fluoride, which helps strengthen dental enamel and prevent cavities. It is often used for fillings on baby teeth, small cavities, or areas of the tooth exposed to acids.

Image for Scaling

Scaling is a procedure for removing tartar (a hard bacterial mass well adhered to dental surfaces). Tartar can cause gum disease and must be removed by a professional. This procedure helps prevent dental diseases by removing tartar and thoroughly cleaning dental surfaces, which improves overall oral health.
